Week 6

I've added a grass effect to my base , This was done with a particle effect.
The tube tutorial for this excercise was very useful especially the use of the extrude tool.

Week 5

This tutorial was very good for learning to use textures and light. The spotlight render is on the left and on the right I added a few other bits I liked from the tutorial. I didn't come across any particular problems doing this tutorial.

Week 4

Making the chair was quite difficult at first, the problem I had was getting the correct camera angle. once I got used to it there were no problems. a useful short cut was alt - c, this was for making the curve a mesh.

The paper clip image was done by using subsurf in edit mode, selecting the edges and pressing Ctrl while clicking round the paper clip shape.

I made the banana the same way as the paperclip but at the end added a texture.

Week 3

For the apples I used a sphere, then grouped sections and moved them about using the proportional edit fallout, this created a rounder look when moving the verticies. then i duplicated and coloured the apples, added stalks that I randomly edited to the shape of a distorted cone. For the plate I used a more basic sphere, but it in half and pointed up the edges.

Week 2

With this exercise I found the modelling was okay, The tutorial was good, but I did encounter a problem when colouring the item, once the 2 pieces touched slightly they grouped and turned the same colour.

I had to start again and just changed the colours seperately then joined the 2 sections.

The salt shaker exercise was manageable after the past exercises, I just added a cylinder, selected the top verticies, scaled them (smaller) to create a half cone, then added 2 half spheres and coloured the whole thing.

Keys to remember: G = grab to move, F12 = Render object, Esc = Cancel movement,
Ctrl + up = maximise obeject screen
F5 = shader tools
F10 = animation tools

Completed the tutorial

Part 1 - Helpful for using the interface efficiently

Part 2 - not very helpful but does give enough description previously to complete second exercise.
